Cerna Creations partnered with R2i to help redesign the digital platform for Applied Materials to enhance brand presence and increase user engagement.
The previous website had an outdated design, lacked responsiveness, and provided a subpar user experience.
As the designer for the project I worked closely with the UX research to develop the information architecture of the site. I developed wireframes and designs that I presented to the client. After 2 rounds of revisions the designs were approved. I then partnered with the development team to begin the handoff of the design for implementation.
The redesign was a success in bringing Applied Materials aesthetics into a modern, mobile-first approach design. We were able to create flexibility in the design elements to allow content editors to feel like they had full control of the design.
