City of Ann Arbor

Interpersonal Frequency undertook the redesign of the City of Ann Arbor's digital presence. This project was a discovery and design phase only contract. I led the redesign and development of the project before handing it back to the client for their team to implement base on my initial code.

The Goals

  • Enhance user engagement
  • improve mobile responsiveness
  • improve user engagement
  • improve navigation
  • enhance brand consistency

The Problem

The existing website lacked intuitive navigation, mobile optimization, outdated design aesthetics and minimal brand consistency throughout.

The Process

In the initial phase of the project we collaborated with stakeholders, conducted user interviews, and gathered analytics and user insights. We re-architected the information architecture to help improve way finding for users. I iteratively designed wireframes, designs, and prototypes. I then converted those static deliverables into a working website that I bundled and provided to the client to implement on their SharePoint system.

The Results

Improved user satisfaction, increased mobile traffic, streamlined navigation, and positive feedback from city officials. Visit the live site a2gov.org
