Department of Labor (DOL)

I provided graphic design services for the Department of Labor to enhance social media presence and engagement. I helped with the main DOL.gov website and main developer website.

The Goals

  • Create visually compelling content
  • increase audience reach
  • promote departmental initiatives.

The Problem

The Department of Labor's social media content lacked visual appeal, resulting in low engagement and reach.

The Process

Throughout my time at the Department of Labor I collaborated with social media team as we worked with the Secretary of Labor Tom Perez. We worked closely with departmental officials and developed content calendars. I created custom graphics and animations for the different initiatives for the different social media platforms.

During my time at DOL, I was also approached by the main web team to help enhance their main dol.gov website and their developer portal.

The Results

We helped the administration, at the time, Increase their social media followers, improved engagement rates, enhanced brand visibility and voice, and positive feedback from departmental officials. One outstanding achievement was that we had one of our videos, that I and the motion designer worked on, go viral. Appearing on the "Joe in the morning" show with the Secretary of Labor. It was a great feeling to see work I put my heart into be seen by millions.

Let's Work Together

Given the chance we could do great things. All it takes is one step.
